The year 2018 has been great for black cinema. Yet, Hollywood remains slow in bringing the stories of people of color to the big screen.
Where’s the sense of urgency when it comes to stories about “Black Lives Matters” or about what happened in Charleston at Emanuel AME in 2015?
My encouragement is for all artists to stop waiting and start doing.
We should always have a sense of urgency when it relates to making sure that our stories get told.
